Hoi An, Vietnam Streets Await

Hitting the streets? Armed with a camera? Let’s get out of town to Hoi An, Vietnam, a former French provincial town located between the well know cities of Saigon and Hanoi. This one didn’t get pummelled during the American War, the Vietnamese name for the mid century war that had Americans glued to their TVs watching atrocities committed by their own troops and others. Today we watch with similar horror but with more armour, it hasn’t got easier just more common.

Hoi An remains a preserved architecturally and has a few quirks, tailoring being a popular draw among tourists. Even a Japanese bridge from an earlier conquest remains. Quaint Asia with a European touch, brimming (overflowing actually) with a needle trade anxious for your business. Combine with restaurant styles from every continent and lots of folks are on the streets conquesting silk fashions and foraging yumyum for their tumtums.

Despite the popularity from outsiders, like many popular tourist cities, Hoi An teems with street opportunities for the well armed and ready as well as visitors. Opportunities waiting for your capture. For more on Hoi An and Vietnam, see:
